Second baseman Aaron Miles hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI at the ballpark as the
Chainsaw Proctologists staged a comeback win over the St. Paul Saints by the
count of 7 to 6.
Chainsaw came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning with 3
runs. Skip Schumaker led off and started the rally when he drew a walk.
After an out was recorded, Lyle Overbay stepped up to the plate and he
reached on an error. Joe Mather then drew a walk to load the bases. Miles
stepped in and he doubled making Chainsaw victorious to the delight of the
the home town crowd. Although they lost, St. Paul did out-hit Chainsaw 13 to
10.
The victory went to Lance Cormier(2-3) who went 2 innings, allowing 1 run.
Chris Sampson(1-4) suffered the loss in relief. 'Now that is what I call
fun! I just love baseball, especially games like this, of course,' Rick
Graves offered. 'Everyone at the stadium had a great time - did you see the
fans go wild there at the end?!'
